Alan was an incredible man with such kindness and love in his heart. He was always there to offer a smile and a good conversation as he and Donna would watch the backyard and sit on their porch and talk, and of course he always had a biscuit for my dog. He will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to his family.

My sincere condolences to the White family. In my capacity as Chief of Police of the Brookhaven Police Department I visited Mr. White´s classes at Parkside and Coebourn Schools numerous times throughout the years. His students loved him and he was respected by other staff members. We continued to meet occasionally after his retirement and discussed old times. He will certainly be missed by many. May he rest in peace.

Mr. White was a great teacher. I was a 5th grader at Parkside in 1970 when he started and will always remember him.

My memory of Alan was how much our fur babies Ollie and Maggie loved Him. I always remember Alan with a smile and he and Donna taking their evening walks. May God comfort you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I am sorry for your loss.
Having him as a 5th grade teacher at Parkside Elementary was best. He was always so kind. He prepared us for the scary move to middle school. I still remember to this day his favorite color was purple.

I am so sorry for your loss. My daughter, Sara, had him for 5th grade. I used to frequently run into Alan at the Middletown Library (after he retired) and he always had time to chat. May his memory be a blessing.

Alan used to play basketball with my dad in my driveway. He was years older than I, and I was awed by his height. He was a good basketball player!

I'm so sad to hear Alan passed away. Was always a feel good to see Donna & Alan always holding hands, whether walking together or hanging at the pool. We always shared conversations about Creekside during their many strolls thru the neighborhood...holding hands. He was always ready to volunteer in our community & for years, despite the weather or early morning hours, tended to our community flag...Alan was a good person and will be missed by many here at Creekside.

You will be missed, Mr. White! He was my 5th teacher during the 1980-1981 school year at Parkside Elementary and spent a lot of extra time helping me learn the metric system during math class. He made science a fun learning adventure and will always be remembered for his dry sense of humor, as well as for his love of the color purple!

Mr. White was one of my most memorable teacher. A great man and great mentor. I had him as my 5th grade teacher at Coebourn Elementary in 2002-2003. My thoughts are with his friends and family.

Mr. White was one of my favorite teachers. I have such fond memories of being moved to the seat directly in front of his desk because I couldn´t stop talking. I had him for 5th grade @ Parkside Elementary in 1985.

I´m so sorry for those who lost him. Mr.White was my 5th grade teacher from 99-00. If it wasn´t for him I would not know how to read nor write cursive. He was funny but most importantly taught me so much that first year I had in Penn-Delco! Rest easy, Mr.White. Always remembered, always appreciated. Fly high
