Cynthia Walker Obituary

Cynthia P. Walker, 71, of Hamilton, Illinois, passed away at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

Cynthia was born May 17, 1951, in Keokuk, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Miller) Mill.

On Sept. 1, 1968, she was united in marriage with Robert Walker at the Presbyterian Church in Keokuk.

Cynthia has worked Flowers by Daryl in Keokuk for many years and was the manager of Whitey's Bar in Hamilton from 1994 to present. She enjoyed her dogs and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal's fan, but her family and spending time with them was the center of her life. She was especially good with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and all children.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Robert, of Hamilton; two sons, Robert "Whitey" (Angela) Walker of Burlington, and Brian "B.J." Walker of Hamilton; stepdaughter Kathy Evans of Orlando, Florida; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Conner) Brockett, Evan Walker and Gavin Walker; two step-grandchildren, Tripp and Katy Evans; a brother Bill Mills of Keokuk; a sister Barb Gassaway of Keokuk; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded by her parents; and three siblings, Leitha, Debbie and Randy.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 9 at Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton.

Family will meet friends from 1 p.m. until time of services at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
