Robert Niemiec Obituary

Robert W. Niemiec, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2022, with loving family at his side. Born April 10, 1936, son of the late William J. and Alice S. (Olbrych) Niemiec, he was a graduate of Cathedral High School. Robert continued his education at Western New England College before serving our country in the US Air Force. He worked locally as a designing draftsperson and retired from Atlas Copco Manufacturing after many years of service. Robert was a two-time cancer survivor and enjoyed his times as a member of the former Springfield Turnverein Club. Robert was predeceased in 2015 by his beloved wife, Helen M. (Malinowski) Niemiec; and is survived by his loving children, Theresa M. Williams and husband Rodrick of Shrewsbury, Theodore J. Niemiec of Westfield, and Christopher R. Niemiec of Westfield; four cherished grandchildren; aunt, Emily Connelly of West Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Robert were held privately for family.
