George Biathrow Obituary

George Biathrow, 61, passed away on March 16, 2022 after a brief illness. George was a hard worker and spent over 40 years in the roofing industry. He loved the Miami Dolphins, a good game of Scrabble, a hand of Poker or a Chess match. Over anything else though, he loved spending time with his grandson Anthony, who was his best friend and the absolute light of his life. He will be missed by all of his ‘brothers’ who he grew up with in Holyoke and shared the football field with. George is pre-deceased by his son Luke and survived by his wife Michele, his children Odessa, Vanessa and Eric, and his sisters Brenda Allen, Cheryl Biathrow, Lucy Morales and Darlene Pacheco. There will be a barbecue to celebrate George this summer with his friends and family. In memory of George, donations can be made to The Friends of the Homeless, which was an organization he donated to often.

We are so sorry to here about Georges passing. We use to sit on his back stairs and play a good game of chess. He loved playing football also. He will be sorely missed. Great memories.

I got to know George through working with him for many years on roofs for the VA. It was always a pleasure to talk to him. We would exchange stories about our grand son's. He showed such love and tenderness for his grandson. It touched my heart. I always tried to make a joking statement for I liked to hear his laughter. In my mind I can still hear it. It saddens me so much. Never would I have thought to see this happen to him. I will miss you George. May you rest in peace now with the Lord my friend.
