I´m quite saddened to learn of Skip´s passing. He was a beloved friend and former student of my late father, Preston Foster. Skip was one of the `big brother´ types that I had growing up as he was one of the students that took up Dad´s interest in the old hit and Miss engines.
I distinctly remember, as a child, being told that Skip was the Raider mascot. Another memory later was going boating with Skip and Lauri on maybe the Allegheny. I believe they were dating then.
Most recently, Skip hooked me up with a coworker who was interested in purchasing Dad´s antique canoe that was being stored in Skip´s garage. I recall the sadness in his voice when telling me about losing Lauri.
Nothing I can think to say in an attempt to comfort you seems to be enough. I hope that your memories of Skip will give you strength.Your family has experienced too much loss too soon. I will pray for you all.
