Russell J. Haney, Jr. age 82, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, in Morriston, Florida. He was born in Midland, Michigan to Russell J, Haney, Sr. and Virginia Haney on June 12, 1942.
He was married to Linda Kay (Caldwell) Haney, November 9, 1963 in Midland, Michigan, and preceded him in death on January 24, 2024. They were married for 60 years.
Russell worked for GM and was a Real Estate Agent for Coldwell Banker, he was a Volunteer Firefighter for Homer Township and a Barber.
Russell enjoyed hunting, fishing, umpiring ball games and coaching, being a Cub Scout leader, camping, mushroom picking, nature, photography, visiting lighthouses and spending time with friends and especially time with family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his siblings Sharon Soule, Lynn Haney and Patricia Dubrul; his children Stacey L. Jones (Haney), Christopher, Matthew and Brent Haney; he had 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
The family of Russell would like to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses and CNA's at the Williston Care Center and Vitas Hospice Care. He made many friends and was loved by many while in their care. He will be greatly missed. There will be no service for Russell at this time. Family will be taking Russell and Linda's ashes back to Midland, Michigan for a private burial at the Homer Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home Williston.
