Roxanne Thomas, 68, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 in her home in San Angelo, Texas. She was born to Darrel "Dean" and Faye (Flint) Johnson on June 29, 1953 in Phillipsburg, Kansas.

Roxanne attended and graduated Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah in 1971. She married Richard E. Huff in Kaysville, Utah in 1976, and they had two sons, Nicholas Ray Huff (Cristina Coronado Huff) of Port Ludlow, Washington, and Brandon James Huff (Corina Flueras Huff) of Layton, Utah.

Roxanne was a devoted mother and student, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Weber State College in 1988. She continued her studies throughout her career, obtaining numerous certifications, degrees and licensures to advance her practice.

In 1989, Roxanne remarried Jeff L. Thomas of Indianapolis, Indiana and began her medical technologist career at Culver Union Hospital in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She and Jeff lived briefly in Memphis, Tennessee in 1992. Roxanne subsequently served as a medical technologist and evening supervisor at Twin Rivers Regional Memorial Hospital in Kennett, Missouri from 1992-1993. She later served as a medical technologist and laboratory technologist at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville, Arkansas from 1993-2001; at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina in 2005; at the Coastal Carolina Hospital and Medical Center in Hardeeville, South Carolina from 2005-2010; at the Barnwell County Hospital in Barnwell, South Carolina from 2010-2012; and at the Community Medical Center in Port Royal, South Carolina from 2012-2014.

In 2014, Roxanne moved to San Angelo, Texas and served out the remainder of her practice as a medical technologist and medical laboratory scientist at Shannon Medical Center (formerly San Angelo Community Medical Center). Roxanne, who had a great sense of humor, made some of the best friends of her life through her work in the medical industry in San Angelo, and her family appreciates their love and affection toward Roxanne, who was always very strong and self-reliant.

Graveside services for Roxanne will be held on Saturday, August 20th at 10 a.m. at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary cemetery in Layton, Utah. All friends and family are invited to attend. The service will also be recorded and can be viewed the day after the service on the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary website. Roxanne has been my best friend since we were young. I still can´t believe she is gone. I miss her every day. Unfortunately due to health reasons I am not able to be there for her family. Nick and Brandon please know that your Mother loved you very much. Every time we spoke she told me how proud she was of you. Please remember what a beautiful person she was and don´t ever forget her sense of humor. Hold on to the memories you have and continue to enjoy her love and laughter.
I know I will always love her and will cherish the time we spent together. Rest well my friend.
All my love,
Jennifer Hyde Parkey
