GARRETT - Doris J. McIntosh, age 95, of Garrett, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Doris was born on Jan. 16, 1929, in Garrett, Indiana, to Walter E. and Carrie Estella (Gordon) Burtch.
She married George W. McIntosh on Sept. 24, 1949, in Garrett, Indiana, and he passed on June 28, 1983.
Doris was a homemaker most of her life and then worked at the Garrett License Branch before working as an assembler at Magnavox for seven years, retiring in 1992.
Doris graduated from Garrett High School with the Class of 1947.
She was the oldest living member of the First Church of Christ, Garrett, Indiana.

Doris is survived by a son, Randy McIntosh, of Rome City, Indiana; three daughters, Carol (Dan) Mueller, of Huntertown, Indiana, Cathy Vogel, of Garrett, Indiana, and Christine (Fred) Grams, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, George W. McIntosh; parents, Walter E. and Carrie Estella Burtch; companion for several years, Jerry Johnson; brothers, Howard, Walter and Robert Burtch; sisters, Frances Ketzenberger, Beverly Johnston and Judy Lewellyn.
Services will take place at 2 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, Indiana, with Brother Bud Owens officiating.
Visitation will take place from noon to 2 p.m., prior to the services.
Burial will take place at Embrey Cemetery, rural Garrett.
Memorials are to First Church of Christ, Garrett, Indiana.
