Sarah Dawson Obituary
March 4, 1958 - May 1, 2024
Lexington, Kentucky - Sarah Cox Dawson, 66, wife of 25 years to Robert "R.R." Dawson, passed away on May 1, 2024. Sarah was born in Versailles, KY, on March 4, 1958, to Miriam Tutt Cox of Versailles and the late James Robert Cox Jr.
Sarah graduated from Woodford County High School. She then went on to get a degree from Western University in 1979, where she was on the tennis team. Sarah was an instructor for high-performance driving with both the Porsche Club and the Corvette Club. Sarah worked for I-TEL Corporation for many years as a custom programmer.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by, her son Philip Robert "P.R." Gerrow Jr.; Stepdaughter Nancy (Adam) Jones; and sister Lindsey (Rick) Cox.
There will be a private service at a later date. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Rd. is in charge of arrangements.

When we were little she took my sister Paige, PR & I on a few overnight trips to Cincinnati among other fun things. To me, she was larger than life- beautiful, fun, sassy in her heals, she´d even let us put a little bit of her lipstick on. And her laugh, loved her laugh. Hadn´t seen her in over 20 years but I have so many vivid wonderful memories of her. Keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers

Bobby, Just learned of Sarah´s untimely demise. She was one of those people that if you were with her you were going to have a fun time ! I´ll miss her lunches ! Thinking about you ! Sam

Oh my she was something! I played doubles with her in the state tennis tournament! We had so much fun and we roomed together on the Murray State campus where the the State Championship was played ! We made it all the way to the finals! Memories I will never forget! So sad for your loss!

I am so sorry. She was my patient and friend and I always looked forward to her dental appointments with me. I loved how she loved her dogs, son and husband. I will really miss her. Thankful to have known her in my life
