Andrea L. Prochaska, age 61, of Yorkville, IL, formerly of Oak Lawn, IL, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born on November 22, 1960 in Evergreen Park, IL the daughter of Thomas and Genevieve (Swanson) Downey.
Andrea was united in marriage on May 11, 1985 to Arthur F. Prochaska Jr. and they spent many years happily together. She was a member of the Yorkville Congregational United Church of Christ in Yorkville, IL. Andrea was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur F. Prochaska Jr.; her children, Ashley (Bryan) Grube, of Virginia, Alissa (Michael) Jones of Yorkville, IL, and Arthur T. Prochaska of Arizona; her grandchildren, Alexia and Ilana Grube, and Wyatt Jones; her mother, Genevieve Downey of Oak Lawn, IL; and her sister, Nancy (Charles) Brandes of Oak Lawn, IL.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Downey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Andrea always had a smile when I went into her room. She loved to have hand massages, and watching movies. She will be missed.
