LJ Hogue Obituary

JONESBORO - LJ Hogue, 83, of Jonesboro, formerly of Walnut Ridge, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022. LJ was born March 27, 1939, in Water Valley, to Levi and Naomi Tyler Hogue.

LJ was preceded in death by his loving wife, Laura "Rena" Hogue; parents, Levi and Naomi Tyler Hogue; brother, Willard Hogue; brother-in-law, Bob Tyler; and great-grandson, Silas.

LJ is survived by his son, Greg Hogue of Jonesboro; two daughters, Debbie (Robert Wrather) Honeycutt of Jonesboro, and Cindy (Johnny) Hinton of Bixby, Okla.; brother, Jerry (Paula) Hogue of Jasper; sisters, Mary (Steve) Wessel of Jonesboro and Shirley Tyler of Fruitland Park, Fla.; four brothers-in-law, Sonny (Lee) Brewer, Ricky Jo (Jeannie) Brewer, Robbie (Marilyn) Brewer and Johnny Mack (Lesa) Brewer; a sister-in-law, Kellie (Jim) Simpson of Smithville; 10 grandchildren, Jimmy Dean, Bobby Drew, Kailee, Brittany, Casey, Jared, Courtney, Tori, Emma and Olivia; and 10 great-grandchildren, Baily, Jess, Nova, Emma, Tucker, Ryder, Kenzi, Cody, Landin and Herbert.

All services were held July 16 at the Hoxie Church of Christ. LJ was laid to rest in Randolph Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Pocahontas.
