Joseph A. Foster, Jr. , 73

1949 - 2022

Venice, FL - Joseph (Joe) A. Foster, Jr passed away in Florida on April 13th after a brief illness. He was surrounded by many friends and family during his hospice stay with some flying in from the Northeast and Arizona to be with him.

Joe was born in Lynn MA on February 27, 1949 and was the son of the late Arthur and Irene (Bingham) Foster. He graduated from Lynn Classical in 1966 and North Shore Community College.

His love of the mountains made him a frequent visitor to NH and Maine where he enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Joe was an active member of the Heron Shores Community in Venice where he also served on the governing board of directors for the past decade.

Joe was employed with the airline industry for over 35 years. He started his career at Boston's Logan Airport with Eastern Airlines, US Air, Trump Shuttle and eventually became station manager for American Airlines. Well respected by his co-workers, Joe also spent time as the station manager in Allentown, PA and Signature Flight back in Boston.

Joe moved to Venice, Florida when he retired and enjoyed golfing, boating, hosting weekly happy hours with friends and driving his 1972 MGB. He loved his retirement lifestyle, often saying he felt he was on permanent vacation.

Joe was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves behind twin daughters, Melissa Feeley and her husband Raymond Feeley of Allentown Pa, Megan Foster of NY, NY and her fiancé Carl Fudge. Joe was the beloved grandfather to Erica Lincoln, Emma Lincoln and Hadley Foster Fudge. He also leaves behind his sister/best friend, Jeanne Corbett and her late husband Randall Corbett of Plymouth MA, his two nephews, Randall Corbett and Christian Corbett, his long time friend, June Bruno of Lancaster, PA and two step sons, Matthew and Kevin Teller of Allentown PA.

Service Information: A celebration of life will be held at Gannon Municipal Golf Course, 60 Great Wood Rd, Lynn MA on Tuesday June 14th, 2022 from 12-4PM.
