Marda Henry Obituary

Marda Rowe Henry, 84, of Dixon, California, died peacefully in her sleep on January 26, 2025. Born April 3, 1940, to parents John Oliver and Lillian (Wood) Rowe of Davis CA on the Innisfail Dairy. She enjoyed an idyllic childhood with her 5 siblings and grew up showing Milking Shorthorn cattle against her siblings, dancing and performing as a Davis High majorette.

Marda will be remembered for her dedication to many local activities including Dixon Community Nursery School, Dixon Community Church's Choir, Children's Choir, and Bell Choir, Tremont Mite Society, 4-H and leader, Dixon Women's Improvement Club, Dixon Historical Society and Saint Peter's YLI. She loved sewing, crafting and home interior design and received degrees in Music and Interior Design from Solano Community College. We recall fondly many special family events, Christmas parties, Easter picnics, Community events and family camping trips.

Survivors include her three children, Kathy (Chris) Wallace of Vacaville, John (Tacy) Currey, Scott (Hui) Currey of Dixon; stepchildren Michelle Dolan of Lincoln CA, Michael (Sara) Henry of Charlottesville NC, grandchildren Michel Wallace, Spencer Currey, Riley Currey, Bianca Currey, Chloe Currey, Nathan Currey, Eleanor Currey, Lillian Currey, Ryan Dolan, Lorelei Henry, Fiona Henry, Finn Henry and Sonia Henry; Siblings Evelyne Rominger, Stuart Rowe, Charles Rowe, Binky Rowe Eason; numerus nieces and nephews; and her first husband Robert Currey. She is predeceased by We recall fondly many special family events, Christmas parties, Easter picnics, Community events and family camping trips. Survivors include her three children, Kathy (Chris) Wallace of Vacaville, John (Tacy) Currey, Scott (Hui) Currey of Dixon; stepchildren Michelle Dolan of Lincoln CA, Michael her parents, her second husband, James Patrick Henry, infant daughter Julia Currey and brother James Rowe of Twin Falls ID.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday April 2, 2025, at the Dixon United Methodist Church at 11:00 am with a reception to follow. She will be interred on her birthday Thursday April 3rd at 1:00 pm at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
