Anna Levorsen Obituary

Anna Marie (Nan) Levorsen passed away on March 8, 2026. She was born in Twin Falls, Idaho to Joseph and Florence Marshall. She enjoyed many happy summers at a family cabin in the Sawtooth mountains with her parents, brothers, and sisters.



Nan graduated from the College of Idaho with a degree in English, and from the University of Alaska with a masters in education. She taught for two years at the Kechum Grade School before moving to Alaska, where she taught for many years.



Nan met and married John Levorsen in Alaska, and together they completed his cabin on a lake north of Anchorage, and enjoyed many pleasant summers canoeing and watching the loons.



Upon retirement to Idaho in 1994, Nan and John enjoyed reading, playing the piano, walking, and traveling mainly to England, Mexico, and Hawaii. A favorite spot each summer was the family cabin in the Sawtooth mountains.



Following the loss of her husband in 2008, Nan continued enjoying friendships in Alaska, Hawaii, and Idaho, traveling, walking, reading, and playing the piano and guitar.
