Sherrie McMahon Obituary

Sherrie McMahon
December 12, 1955 - June 10, 2022
Sherrie Lynn McMahon of Houston, TX unexpectedly passed away at the age of 66 on June 10, 2022. She was born in San Bernardino, CA on Dec 12, 1955 to Eugene and Geraldine Moore. She had an enduring love of art, painting, world travel, and the Spanish language and was a gifted pianist, organist, and accompanist.
Sherrie moved to Houston in 1980 where she married Jim McMahon in 1986. They had two children, Kathleen Erin (1991) and Kevin James (1994). Sherrie started her career at Aeromexico. She later became a Spanish teacher and Choir Director at Tomball and Klein Oak High School. She expressed her love of music as an organist for Northwoods Presbyterian, Windwood Presbyterian, and Kinsmen Lutheran Church and as a singer in many community choirs. She approached everything in life joyfully and was patient, kind, and accepting.
Please join us to celebrate Sherrie's life at Northwoods Presbyterian Church at 11 AM on June 25, 2022. In lieu of flowers, consider donating in her honor to Northwoods Presbyterian Church, Kinsmen Lutheran Church, Interfaith Ministries (Refugee Services), or Coastal Prairie Conservancy.

Sherrie you were an amazing musician and helped show me how to teach young voices through many choir camps at Northwoods. I´ve since heard that you were an amazing director of music and organist at Kinsmen Lutheran. Your jovial and joyful spirit will be missed.

Rip Sherrie! I didn't know you but may have known your husband, Jim! If Jim worked at BWT, he'd be the Jim I knew, and I'd like to reconnect with him if at all possible!
