Carolyn Vibbert Obituary

Carolyn Hope (Ullom) Vibbert passed away suddenly early Saturday morning November 25, 2023, surrounded by her family. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her son Jim, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by a daughter, Grandchildren, Great grandchildren, two Brothers, many Nieces and Nephews, and a lot of life long Special Friends. Carolyn was born in Yakima on January 1st, 1943, which coincidentally she shares the same day with her younger brother. Right from the start Carolyn was beautiful and heartwarming with a spark that drew you to her. It was widely reported even making the local newspaper, that Carolyn was blamed for setting fire to the family home at age three, no one was hurt, and the house was saved. A few years later Carolyn would meet and stay friends with a group of girls. She and her best friend Shirley would remain best friends through school, teen years, boys, marriages, and children until the day Carolyn left, they were best friends. A group of special girlfriends would get together every year for their annual slumber party, staying up late talking, eating, laughing, and even sometimes crying together. Carolyn met Bruce Vibbert and married in 1963 they had two children together. Carolyn was a wonderful mother; she was voted the WORLDS BEST MOM and WON a TROPHY. She went to work full time in the Restaurant Industry to care for her children. She began as a Line Prep Cook and ended up Managing several Restaurants across several States. Her career forced her to move quite often, sometimes as much as three or more times in a single year. Carolyn was a tireless worker who gave her all to everything. She settled in Everett WA in 1978 and began a career as the Head of the Dietary Food Program at Providence Hospital. She left the Hospital industry after ten years and returned to Managing Restaurants. In 1994 Carolyn lost her only much beloved son, Jim, in an auto accident. While the loss was unbearable, Carolyn always hung on to her friends and family and never stopped doing for them. She loved to do those things for others, even if it meant putting herself out. Her family could testify to Carolyn saying, "I never touched it, I haven't even seen what you're talking about, and I don't know'. Even if the item was in her hands. Her Greatest Wish was for everyone to just get along and love each other. Please come share your memories of her life at the New Life Center, January 20th at 12:00 noon. Located at 6830 Highland Drive Everett, WA 98203, on the corner of Madison and Highland Drive. Please use the East Entrance only for access. The family asks in lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the church and/or your local blood bank in Carolyn's name. Thank you for being a part of her life, SHE LOVED YOU.
