Barbara Clark Obituary

In Memory of

Barbara Kay Keller Clark passed away on Saturday October 7, 2023 in Mukilteo, Washington at the age of 85. She was born on February 21, 1938 to Herbert Louis Keller and Gladys Evelyn Morseth Keller in Fairfield, Iowa.

Barbara moved with her family from Iowa to Everett WA when she was very young, and grew up in Everett and Marysville, where she attended high school. As an adult, Barbara split her time over the years between Mukilteo, Everett, Seattle, Sedona AZ and her beloved Whidbey Island.

With a naturally strong work ethic, Barbara wore many career hats over her life. She worked as a surgical tech, a daycare owner, a top salesperson for Nordstrom, and a personnel recruiter to illustrate some of her favorite roles. One notable professional accomplishment was starting her own successful company - Ashford Clark Personnel in Lynnwood WA. She was a community fixture and mentor, and served on nonprofit boards including the Boys and Girls Club of Snohomish County.

However, her biggest accomplishment was her family. Barbara will be remembered as an extremely devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Many beautiful memories were made being together for holidays, birthdays and family trips.

Barbara is survived by her five children, Mark (Debbie) Strom, Lisa (Weston) Robinson, Dana (Kevin) Stoltz, Nicole (Dave) Ashford, Dani (Nils) Ashford; her 14 grandchildren, Trevor (Breezy), Lucas (Angela), Megan (TJ), Elizabeth, Stephen (Anna), Zak (Rita), Kate (Russell), Lia, Zoe, Alexis (Nick), Dakota, Samantha, Tatum, Jack; her six great grandchildren, MaKenzie, Hadley, Weston, Mabel, Taelyn, Adalyn; and her sister Sue Cummins (Gary). She is preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Evelyn Keller, her brother Herbert D. Keller, and her son-in-law Weston Robinson.

A public Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday December 22, 2023 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Snohomish, WA (5511 64th St. SE, Snohomish WA 98290).

To honor her lifelong devotion to animals, in lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Everett Animal Shelter or the ASPCA.

I remember Barb - We met and worked at Nordstrom in the early 80's. Barb was a dynamo, a real spark plug! Being the oldest of the group yet she'd run circles around us... She had style and verve & everyone loved her. We knew she was a great mom & her kids were the most important people in her life as we all shared our home life stories on a daily basis. My heart goes out to you dear family of Barb, she will be so missed on this physical earth however her love and light and spirit will continue to shine in all of you and in all of us who's lives she touched over her beautiful years.
With deepest sympathy,
Lynn Yowell

Barbara had such a big personality! I marveled at how many wonderful life stories she would generously share. She truly loved to interact with those she loved. Yet, she was so warm & welcoming to a new comer. I know, as I was the new comer. I am richer for having known Barbara, she will be sorely missed, may our memories always keep her close!
