Warne, North Carolina -
Ash Rothlein (June 12, 1924-January 27, 2022) was a truly unique individual, who lived his life with gusto on his own terms. He served in WW II, earned degrees from U.M. and Columbia University and worked as a general contractor on projects ranging from room additions to nuclear reactors. He was passionate about running, fitness, golf, bridge, wine, hiking, politics and veterans programs. He spoke annually at the D-Day Memorial where he donated his French Legion of Honor Medal. He survived his wife, Liz, ex-wives Trudy, Janice and Mary and sons Lee and Steve. He is survived by his son, Jay (Alana), daughter in law, LuAnn, 2 step daughters, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial Celebration of Life will be held at 3pm on February 27 at Memorial Field in Flamingo Park on Miami Beach. Contact the family if you would like to attend by zoom.
