Billy Scott Obituary
Born: August 14, 1942 | Died: July 9, 2025
Billy Joe "Squeakie" Scott, age 82, of Mosheim, went to be with Jesus peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.
He was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church in Canton, NC, but faithfully attended Jackson Chapel FWB Church as long as his health permitted. He spent his life farming and passing on the love of farming to his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years: Anita; two daughters: Lisa Scott and April Johnson; four granddaughters: Sara (Bryan) Killion, Rachel (Johnnie) Day, Cortney (Telisa) Johnson, and Megan (Brandon) Rohr; four great-grandchildren: Cole Killion, Case Killion, Ridge Day, and Weslynn Rohr; brothers: Wendell "Bucky" (Nancy) Scott, and David (Audrey) Scott; brother-in-law: Don Liford; sisters-in-law: Carolyn (Mike) Rudisill, Wanda Goodson, and Garri Liford; a special sister-in-law: Juanita "Nonnie" Hall; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Mark and Essie Scott; sister: Carolyn Case; and a son-in-law: Roscoe Shannon Johnson.
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 14th, at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Rev. "Preacher" Jeff Blake officiated.
Interment was in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery in Canton, NC, on Tuesday, July 15th.
Pallbearers were Greg Scott, Charlie Scott, Jeff Scott, Joe Phillips, Wayne Moore, and Jimmy Knight.
