Christine Junewick Obituary

Junewick, Christine
7/25/1953 - 1/22/2024
Christine Junewick, a beautiful and special woman (inside and out) is now dancing with the angels and her best buddy, Jesus. Her mother and father, Walter and Pauline Junewick have been awaiting her homecoming. Chrissy walked with Jesus her entire life and tried to show everyone the tremendous love that Jesus has for each one of us. Some might say that Chrissy was limited- but her accomplishments were limitless. She graduated from Kent Occupational High School, participated in drivers training school (but Chrissy would say "I FLUNKED!"), did rug hooking, typed family stories, strummed the guitar, beat her sister in Setback and Rummy, took the tubular journey in the arch at St. Louis, basked in the sun on the beaches of Maine, drove a motorboat, toured the Smokey Mountains, and sampled the local food and beverages of New Orleans. Anyone that knew Chrissy, knew how much she loved to go out to eat. Now she is sitting at the banquet table that God has prepared for her. Chrissy was a very determined and spunky individual that touched everyone she met. Chrissy was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Pauline Junewick, her siblings Norbie Junewick, Jerry and Betty Junewick, nieces and nephews, Kim Junewick, Jan Junewick, Joy Ottenwess, Jade Ottenwess, Troy Roguska, and Landry Hollern. Her Family would like to thank all those who made Chrissy's life so meaningful. As her sister-in-law, Betty, always said "She was our Angel" and we thank God for loaning her to us for 70+ years. She will be greatly missed by her siblings Lorraine Junewick, Arnie and Lynne Junewick, Ken and Mary Lou West, Tom and Carol Nezwek, many nieces and nephews, and a large number of cousins. A Mass of celebration will be held Thursday February 1st, 2024, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 2275 Diamond NE Grand Rapids MI at 11:00 AM; with an hour visitation prior to the service. There will be a luncheon immediately following. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Anyone wishing to make a donation in honor of Chrissy's memory can do so via the Samuel Omogo Foundation or a charity of their choice.
