Raymond Simone Obituary

Simone, Raymond J., 84, of Briarfield Road, Barrington, died peacefully on August 9, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Ann (Morrill) Simone.

Born in Paterson, New Jersey, a son of the late Joseph and Edythe (Botta) Simone, he lived in Barrington for 46 years.

Raymond was a graduate of Wesleyan University Class of 1959. He was a United States Coast Guard Veteran.

Mr. Simone was an executive with IBM for 30 years before retiring in 1997 and later was a real estate agent for Century 21 before retiring in 2022.

Raymond was a trustee, lector, communicant and member of the Young at Heart Club in St. Luke Church. He was past treasurer of the Barrington Republican Town Committee. He enjoyed golfing and reading.

Besides his wife of sixty one years, he is survived by three sons, Joseph M. Simone of Bristol, James R. Simone and his wife Karen of Seattle, Washington and John E. Simone and his wife Julie of Riverside; five grandchildren, Jackson, Nick, Andrew, Rachel and Sarah. He was the bother of the late Verne R. Hoff.

His Funeral will be held on Friday August 12, 2022 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10:45 a.m. with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington.
