Richard Nemrow Obituary

Richard Scott Nemrow

45 years

Lindon, Utah - Richard Scott Nemrow ("Scott"), age 45, passed away on Sunday, July 27th, 2025 at his home in Lindon, Utah.

Scott came into this world on April 8th,1980, with the same kind of adventurous spirit that he would become known for… and oh, how he was loved! He was a big baby, both in actual size, especially his feet, and personality. Wherever Scott was, fun and adventure followed.

As a child, he had a giving heart and would often give up his graham cracker or school homework packet to a child who hadn't received one. He loved the beaches of Southern California and enjoyed boogie boarding and body surfing with his dad, younger sister and brothers . He was independent and at the age of 16 he bought his very own car, a Chevy Nova, for $500. In high school he worked a variety of jobs including dishwasher at the Training Table, salesman at Copeland Sports and farm worker with his Uncle Dave. He had a great group of friends who are loyal to this day. They made life fun creating movies and music, playing volleyball and pulling pranks on one another. He often frustrated his teachers and only graduated from Timpview in 1998 after cleaning the baseball dugouts for his final assignment.

Scott then served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Frankfurt, Germany. Within two months of his return, he fell in love with and married Anjerie Jarman in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with four amazing and beautiful daughters who became the best part of his life. Heartbreakingly, Scott and Anjerie divorced and he struggled with life for a number of years before falling in love with and marrying Jenni Mella Miller. With Jenni came her two great children, Christian and Ellery, and two years later, Scottie Quinn was born into to the family. Oh, how Scott loved his girls. Not even the band "Tool" could compare.

Scott was the energy source at almost any gathering and he made friends wherever he went. He was charming and warm and helped people feel seen and loved. He was empathetic, compassionate and generous of spirit.

He was also a risk taker, and the role of entrepreneur fit him perfectly. In his success he was wonderfully generous and so much fun! Great memories with family and friends were made enjoying activities he loved to organize and make happen.

He was also a man of many interests. He participated in many sports, played the guitar and wrote songs, attended concerts and cheered on the Rams. He also enjoyed reading inspirational and educational books, listening to podcasts, and visiting while sharing his thoughts and ideas with family and friends. More recently his thoughts became more profound and spiritual. It was a joy listening to the things he was learning, feeling and thinking about. And it was clear he was becoming a different and better man.

In this last year, those who witnessed his conversion and connection to our loving Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, would say they had seen in him a modern-day miracle. In the end, Scott was a new man at peace with God's will in his life. With his passing his presence and influence will be greatly missed. A good man has returned to his Father in Heaven.

Scott is survived by his wife Jenni and his children: Avrie Jean, Cynthia June, Faye Ann and Tess Anjerie from his first marriage to Anjerie Jarman, and Scottie Quinn from his second marriage to Jenni along with his stepchildren, Christian and Ellery. He is also survived by his parents, Norm and Cindy Nemrow and by his siblings: Christy (Briggs), Stephen, David and Peter. There will be a viewing on Friday, August 1st, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM MDT at the Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 North University Avenue, Provo, Utah, 84604. On Saturday, a viewing will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at the Latter-day Saint chapel located at 345 E 4525 N in Provo with the memorial service to begin at 11:00 AM.

I remember Scott being really good at imitating voices. He would often mimic our mission president's voice. In fact, he did it so well that one night when the actual mission president called I thought it was "President Nemrow." Haha! I loved being around him. He was funny and genuinely loved the people around him. Miss you, Scottie Too Hottie!

I am so sorry to hear about Scott's passing. I served with him in the Frankfurt Germany mission, and I will always remember how he made missionary work fun and real. He will be deeply missed. I'll try to upload photos later.

So sad for your, and honestly OUR, collective loss. He really was a great person who was inclusive to others. He let the neighbor kid hide away in his basement when he "ran away" from home, side yard boxing matches, bb gun wars through the neighborhood, sneaking into the chen mansion, etc. Lots of good memories. He will be missed.

Norm and Cindy, I am so sorry for your loss. Parents should never have to bury their children. I am sure there were lots of Clark´s and Larson´s there to meet him with loving arms when he arrived on the other side. They will love and care for him till you get there. My heart goes out to you at this time of sorrow.

I knew Scott from his time at RR. He was a friendly, kind, person - the kind of guy that others want to be like. I remember when he got an electric longboard that cost about 1k and he let me hop on it and take it for a ride. Gone too soon. May he rest in peace.
