Glen Park Obituary

Glen Woolsey Park

In Loving Memory

1950 ~ 2023

Murray, UT-Glen Woolsey Park, 73, passed away on Nov 19 from stroke-related complications. He was born on Oct 30, 1950, the youngest of 10 children, to John William Park and Ida Woolsey Park, in Murray, UT. He is survived by his wife, Dianne Jerman; six children (Audrey, Becky, Craig, Natalie, Anne, Emily); 34 grandchildren; and his sister, Ruby. Glen was preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings (Joseph, Lois, Ivan, Geniel, Jay, Carole, Raymond, John). Glen's priority was his family and was the greatest supporter of all his kids and grandkids and always championed each individual. Glen always let God prevail in his life. Glen was a gospel scholar and an avid family history researcher with a lifelong love for the temple. Glen was a brilliant attorney and received both his juris doctorate and undergraduate degrees in a total of 4 ½ years. He was a fast learner, had an incredible memory, and was knowledgeable in many subjects. As a hobby, he self-published 10 books. He served his entire life and positively influenced so many lives for the better. Glen had a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor to the end. Funeral services will be held on Dec 2 @ 1pm, viewing @ 11:30am (5450 S. Holladay Blvd). Premier Funeral Services.

Glen was an outstanding individual, solid as a rock unwavering over time. From the time I met him as a 16 year old at GHS until his later years it was an honor to count him as a friend and someone who stood for what he believed. His intellect was keen and his fortitude was strong. There is so much more could be said. To Diane and your family you are in our thoughts and prayers and may peace be with you through the coming days.

Glen was an incredible friend, leader, and example to everyone who knew him. I was so very grateful to work with him in student leadership during our senior year. I learned so much about serving our fellow classmates with integrity and honor through Glen´s example. I will always remember what a good friend Glen was to me. My love and prayers go to Diane, their children, grandchildren, and other members of the Park family at this difficult time. What a beautiful blessing it is to know you will all be with him again someday.

Glen was an example of being such a good person. I never knew him personally but his example from high school was always exemplary. It was easy to see his values. May your family be blessed by his good example!

Diane, so sorry to hear about Glen's passing. He was definitely an amazing leader of many. We have such great memories of him at GHS and at reunions, etc. Happy for him to be out of pain and with his family that has gone on before him. He has fought the health battle for many years and deserves a rest. We send our love and prayers to you and your family through this experience. It is a true blessing to know you will be with him again. We won't be able to come to his services because Dennis got a kidney transplant just a couple months ago. He is not allowed to be out in public yet. But know you will be in our thoughts. Hugs!

I'm so sorry to see that Glen has passed away. My children were also sad when I told them. He was a wonderful Bishop to our South Jordan Ward many years ago, and he remained a special friend to me over the years. There were several times that I called to ask for his advice, which I always respected and he never acted like he was too busy to help me. Prayers to Dianne and his family. May your special memories give you comfort in your days ahead.

I really enjoyed knowing Glen in our ward and at school. We were the two from our ward to go on missions in 1970 as the two allowed in the Vietnam-era quota system in the church for missionaries. He went to France and I went to Germany. He was one I looked up to for his goodness and leadership, as well as spirituality. I am sorry we did not ever connect after those years of our youth.

My sincere condolences. Glen was my zone leader in Toulouse France. I truly enjoyed his loving demeanor with me and those we contacted on splits. He showed generous interest in me and my progress as a missionary and as an individual. I can truly say i looked up to him as a big brother. I remember him playing basketball on our team of missionaries who won the championship of amateurs in France. May Heavenly Father´s blessings pour down upon his posterity forever.
