Marcia DePolo Obituary

Marcia Ann DePolo was a beloved and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was truly limitless and will always be an inspiration. Marcia left this world suddenly on January 7, 2022 at age 69. Born to Maurice and Philomena Theresa Romano DePolo on October 15, 1952, Marcia was raised in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania with her three sisters and her best friend - her brother. After graduating from School of the Holy Child, Sharon Hill, she worked at a bank and attended night school to earn a bachelor’s degree and MBA from St. Joseph’s University. After becoming a wife and mother in Downingtown, Marcia chased her dreams to New York City exhibiting her talents as an actress, Raven Wylder. She had a stellar career in advertising as a copy writer, creative director and advertising executive, producing several television commercials such as My Little Pony and G.I. Joe. After raising her two boys at the age of 54, Marcia received a Juris Doctor from Fordham University. She was a fierce litigator, family law attorney and licensed mediator, and was admitted to the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. Marcia was always up for anything and had an infectious personality that knew no boundaries. She was named Miss Lansdowne, went to Woodstock in 1969, and traveled the world. She was a certified scuba diver, a versed sports fan, and remained a devoted member of the church where she was a lector and taught CCD. Marcia raised her children in Montclair, New Jersey before moving to North Arlington, where she loved her home for the last 7 years. She adored her two sons and her daughters-in-law, and her grandson was the love of her life. She is survived by her grandson Colton Essig, sons Jason Essig (Shana) and Kyle (Viviana Brignoni), sisters Maureen Kelly (Michael), Mary Schmieder (George), and Marla DePolo Golden, and many nieces and nephews who will always have a special place in their heart for Aunt Marcy. In addition to her parents, Marcia is predeceased by her brother Maurice. A viewing and Funeral Mass is scheduled for 9:00 am on January 17, 2022 at St. Philomena Roman Catholic Church, located at 41 E. Baltimore Avenue, Lansdowne, PA. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 am and interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the Thanks Mom and Dad Fund on her behalf at www.thanksmomanddadfund.org.
