HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Pic is in the lifeguard chair at Pear Tree Point.
Everyone knows Lisa was a quilter. He apartment was a total fire hazard with shelves overflowing with fabrics. Large and small projects hanging on the walls... one spark and the whole place was going up.
Like a Serial Killer I called her a Serial Quilter. She was always searching for the right fabric for her projects. She would look at my shirts criminal quilter intent, I'm lucky to get out alive.
Happy birthday to Lisa and all her friends and family that made this a special day for her.

It's been a tough year with the loss of Lisa at Christmas and Russ in August. The two of them always asked how the other was doing. If there is life on the other side I know these two are good friends. They both put up a gallient fight never showing how weak they really were. The loss for me is real. These were two of my best friends. I'd do anything for them and they for me.
Prayers for Caroline and Bill.

Lisa was a member of the Empire Quilters Guild for many years. Every encounter I had with her was exceptional--she always greeted me with warmth and a lovely smile, even though she could not remember my name--don't we all forget when we meet so many people. I last saw Lisa at an Empire meeting when she demonstrated a quilt project. I am saddened to learn of her passing she was a light to gather around. My condolences to her family and close friends, missing her will be an irreplaceable loss.

Lisa never let her diagnosis dim her happy spirit or her creativity. She will be missed by her quilt community. May her quilts and loving memories soften this blow for those who love her.

Lisa always was with a smile and always created smiles in others... with her personality, her creativity, her kindness. She has touched so many that her memory will live on forever. I loved just spending time with her over needlework, snacks, gossip (good kind), walks etc. when I met her over 20 years ago, I knew I´d met someone special and I will treasure her friendship forever

Lisa was also an ordained minister in CT licensed to perform wedding ceremonies. Marriage was something she believed in and she did them for free. She was also a Notary Public and never charged for that either. These are two examples of how generous she was with her time to help people.
Lisa was fragile and needed to be cared for. She broke her ankle. We really never knew if she broke her ankle and fell or broke her ankle in the fall. They gave her crutches at the hospital and these were not going to work for her. I found a scooter with a basket on the front for her. It was in slightly used in northern CT and the best model available online at the time. The woman selling it was leaving and I had to convince her I wasn't a theif and I'd leave the 100 bucks in her mailbox. I forgot where we were but I stopped at a supermarket and Lisa took off into the store with reckless abandon laughing the whole way. She went from the Emergency Room with a cast on her leg to zooming around on this scooter laughing within an hour. If I told you I didn't love this woman I'd be lying.
