I photographed Nancy and Grier Saunder's Honey Brook home 40 or so years ago. After having breakfast there, I observed a framed photo of a beautiful blond hair girl upon a horse. The stunning picture was sitting on a small table near an old grand father's clock next to the front window. Nancy announced that the girl was her daughter. Many years later I met Trish and we became good friends. Our first meeting was at the Eagle Tavern where she came up behind me while I was sitting at the bar and announced herself as "the girl in the window." Trish and I were both born on March 26 and we exchanged greetings this year,,,,our last contact...on the internet. It was just yesterday...Nov. 12,,,that I heard she had passed. The memories came rushing in...the night I spent with her while her little white bichon was dying of cancer; the night she waited for me in her car to trudge through 2 feet of snow so we could go grab a couple of drinks; all of the design preparations she mustered for her annual award winning tent exhibit at the Radnor Races; the time she and her niece volunteered to sit at my book station at the Exton Square Mall while I sold books at another location. Trish liked to help people, and especially dogs, and she was especially devoted to the memory of her mom, Nancy, who I pray she is now with in heaven

I'm really heartbroken that I won't see her again. And that I missed the services. The only girl, growing up, that called me by my real name. I will have to go out and have a Strawberry Daiquiri or two. We had so many good times together. Why her, God?
