Cody Nash Obituary

Cody Randall Nash, 33, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Humphrey Funeral Chapel, with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 3 p.m. Cremation arrangements are being handled by the J. Herman Humphrey Dignity Cremation Center under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.

Cody was born on April 4, 1991, in North Little Rock, Arkansas, to Randy and Lisa (Hoyer) Nash. He was raised in Vilonia, Arkansas, where he graduated from Vilonia High School in 2009. Cody's dedication to excellence was evident early on, as he served as president of the Beta Club and was an active member of Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and also participated in football and track. He went on to earn an associate's degree from Arkansas Tech University in 2014.

Cody's greatest joy came from his family. He cherished time spent with his wife, Allison, and their children, Kenna and Beau, often taking them on beach trips, outdoor excursions, and attending their sporting events. His love for his family was evident in all aspects of his life. Cody was the chef of the family and loved to prepare meals for them to enjoy. He was always a jokester and staging as the family comic.

Cody's passion for helping others led him to a distinguished career in emergency medical services. He began as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and advanced to the role of paramedic. His leadership and skill earned him recognition as the Clinical Education Lead, Operations Manager, and Flight Paramedic for Pafford Medical Services. In 2023, Cody was honored as one of the American Ambulance Association's "Stars of Life," representing Pafford Medical Services at both the Arkansas State Capitol and the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom & Mailyn Nash, and Donn Hoyer, as well as his uncles, Brian Nash and Henry Wilson.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 10 years, Allison Nash; his children, Kenna and Beau Nash; his parents, Randy and Lisa Nash of Vilonia; his in-laws, Leon and Dana Duvall of Russellville, and David and Dawn Caldwell of Hector; his brother, Donny Nash; his grandmother, Jean Hoyer of Conway; his aunt, Cheryl Wilson of Conway; his uncles, Keith Nash (Mary) of North Little Rock, and David Nash (Deborah) of Conyers, Georgia; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Hunter Duvall (Christen) of Pottsville; along with numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.

In honor of Cody's memory, memorial donations may be made to the Cody Nash Memorial Fund at Arvest Bank designated for Cody's children's college savings.

I will cherish the many memories I have of flying with Cody at SF7. (There are some funny stories, so when you need a laugh, give me a call and I will tell you about one of Cody´s first flights with me!) Cody was always a great partner and an amazing friend! To Cody´s family, you´re in my thoughts and prayers. Miranda Phillips
