I first met Jim coaching little league baseball around 1989 , Even though I never grew up around Camas or Washougal i I could tell Jim was a real nice person. We went on to coach against each other in baseball and as friends. Thru-out the next 35 years. And of course we both loved rebuilding cars as our favorite part time hobbies

I loved the man. met Big Jim years ago while working at the mill. Yes he was a gentle giant and I always said that I would want him on my side if trouble came my way. We always gave each other crap about our choice of cars, him being a staunch Ford nut and myself being die hard Chevy and it was always banter that we walked away laughing about it. Jim really was a great man and proof that the good do indeed die young. I'm forever grateful that he was a part of my life.

I am sending my condolences to Sharon and the boys, their ladies and all of the grandchildren that loved their grandpa so much! I can´t begin to fathom what a huge loss this man has been to all of you. Prayers of comfort and peace are sent from me to you.
