David Bauer Obituary

David Bauer, 67, of Evergreen, CO peacefully passed away on July 2, 2022. Dave was born and raised in Holyoke, MA and graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Places where he found the most serenity were either at the beach or in the mountains, which ultimately led him to Aspen, CO where he met his wife Mary. Dave's love of food and beverage guided him throughout his years in owning multiple restaurants, including The Red Ram in Georgetown, CO. His most recent passion was successfully running his food truck and catering business, Barefoot BBQ. Outside of running restaurants he would often be seen skiing at Loveland Ski Area or playing golf. Dave loved life to the fullest which was shown through his way of easily meeting new people and making everyone smile and laugh. Above all, what gave him the most joy was being with his family. Dave is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary Bauer and their four children, Josh (38, Roseville), Brittney (35, White Salmon), Christa (33, Denver) and Evan (26, Denver) and his four grandchildren Paxton David Bauer (5), Vaugh Bauer (2), Skylah Spencer (1), and Weston Sherman (1). He is also survived by his four brothers and one sister along with many nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by his mother, Louise Bauer and his father, Robert Bauer. A celebration of life will be held at Genesee Pub & BBQ on July 24th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.
