William King Obituary

CLINTON — William Rufus King, 91, of 3696 King Rd, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Southwood Rehab Center in Clinton.

Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 13 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. Leanne Calhoun officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. just before the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home.

William was born in Sampson County on June 18, 1930 to the late Ralph King and Clara Mae Darden King, he was a farmer, an US Army Veteran and a member of Keener United Methodist Church.

Survivors include; wife of 67 years, Jewell Best King; daughters, June Dale King Thigpen and husband Stacy and Joy King Porter and husband Bobby; brother, Elwood King and wife Virginia of Ayden and grandchildren, Hannah T. Honrine (Richard), Alexandra Porter and Cameron Porter.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Keener United Methodist Church, c/o Ann Hobbs, 4750 Hobbton Hwy, Clinton. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.crumpler-honeycutt.com.
