Grace and I were colleagues during our years at the Office of Catholic Schools. She had a unique ability of taking the most difficult situation and always find some small humor in it. Grace was a great mentor to me and a wonderful friend. I admired her years of service to the students and faculties she influenced during her time as a school administrator. She was greatly respected by all. I learned so much from her when she told stories of how she handled situations in schools where she served. I am saddened by her passing, The world has lost a remarkable woman, a phenomenal educator and a person of integrity. My prayers for Grace.

I remember Grace so well from my years in the Catholic Schools Office of the Archdiocese of Chicago. I admired her wisdom and experience. When I was exploring the life of a missionary in Africa, my colleagues in the school office took up a secret, spontaneous collection of money to help me realize the plan. I never knew the initiator but I always suspected Grace. She truly was a person in tune with the needs of others.
My deepest sympathy to the family. She will be missed. I am grateful that I knew her.
