Clifford Joseph Yeager, 79, of Finksburg, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at Autumn Lake Longview in Manchester, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 11, 1944, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Robert Yeager and Helen Bursic Yeager. He was the loving husband of 57 years to Mary Ann Yeager. Cliff retired from the Social Security Administration as a Systems Analyst. Cliff loved and participated in sports his entire life including baseball, basketball, football, golf, and softball. His passion for softball led him to play as a professional and he was ultimately inducted into the Maryland Softball Hall of Fame. He served his community as a long time parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Community, Eldersburg and a life member of Gamber and Community Volunteer Fire Department. He played the role of Santa for many years for the department. Surviving in addition to his, wife, daughters and sons-in-law are grandchildren: Jim Green, Zach Green (Tori Blizzard), Ryan Yingling (Jay) and Craig Yingling, great granddaughters Aubri and Hailey Green, brother Wayne Yeager and sister Cheryl Maloney (Mike). He was predeceased by granddaughter Bethany Shay Green and brothers Bill and Ronnie Yeager. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. A funeral mass will be held at 10am on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg followed by interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
