Neil Ryan Obituary

Neil T. Ryan formerly of South Boston passed away on November 4, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen (Curran) Ryan. Devoted father of Neil Patrick Ryan and his wife Catherine of South Boston, Annmarie Ryan Berry of South Boston, Kathleen Ryan Penza and her late husband Bobby Penza of Revere, Michael Ryan and his wife Eileen of Hanson, Janet Ryan Saran of South Boston. Cherished brother of Rosemarie Ryan of South Boston, Patricia Foley and her husband William of Brockton, and Janet Ryan of Mansfield. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation in the O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester St., South Boston on Wednesday, November 8th from 4-8pm. Funeral Mass in St. Brigid Church, 841 East Broadway, South Boston on Thursday, November 9th at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be Monday, November 13th at 10:45 in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Neil was US Navy Veteran, longtime employee of the US Post office and late member of the Perkins American Legion Post #67 South Boston, Castle Island Association, K of C, Weymouth and Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 14, Watertown.
