KRUPP, Bernice Carlin Born October 31, 1922. Passed July 4, 2022. Bernice Krupp, 99, of South Brookline, Dedham, and Lenox was a devoted daughter of Elizabeth and Isaac Carlin. Born in Roxbury, MA, she was the beloved wife of Philip Krupp. She was the mother of George and Lizbeth Krupp, Douglas and Judith Krupp, and Joanne Krupp. Bernice was the loving grandmother of Michael and Liana Krupp, Richard and Natasha Krupp, Daniel and Ryan Krupp, Alex Krupp, and Justin Krupp and Kama Sembira. She was the great-grandmother of Frankie, Josiah, Philip, Lenny, Nolan and Sawyer Krupp.
Bernice Krupp was one of 7 children and was a loving, devoted sister to Gertrude Tobin, Charlotte Sokoloff, Sylvia Burton, Evelyn Medoff, Helen Ruben, and Ben Carlin who had predeceased her. Bernice remained a devoted aunt to her many, many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Bernice lived a full and blessed life with her husband Philip (61 years) and their 3 children. She was devoted to them and to the work she did outside the home, including her service as President of the Temple Emeth Sisterhood and as a Cub Scout, and Boy Scout troop leader. Bernice found fulfillment in her many interests including travel, bridge, golf, and all the arts.
Bernice was a most generous host and found great pleasure in welcoming people to her home. There was always a seat at the table for extended family friends and new people to enjoy. She loved the dynamic, stimulating conversation. A woman of keen wit and fierce independence, she saw her life as a blessing every single day. It was the blessings of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that continued to fill her heart with great joy.
A girls' residence at Yemin Orde in Haifa, Israel bears her name as a way her children chose to honor her and thank her for her love and devotion.
Bernice is remembered by all who knew her as a most kind and elegant soul, a true woman of valor.
A Funeral was held at the Temple Emeth in Chestnut Hill, MA on July 6th. Donations in her memory can be made to Yemin Orde Youth Village.
