Steele Lovell Obituary

Steele Quentin Lovell, 57, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away at his home on August 30, 2025, leaving behind a life filled with adventure, laughter, and love.
Born on June 5, 1968, Steele was a man who embraced every moment. A devoted father and grandfather, a true outdoorsman and one heck of a poker player. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his four grandkids. Whether teaching them something new, sharing a laugh, or just being present, his love for them was endless and unwavering.
Steele had an adventurous spirit. He was a skilled SCUBA instructor finding peace beneath the waves, an avid hunter, earning the Triple Crown, and a natural tinkerer who could always find a way to fix anything. Steele earned his R.N. License in 2013.
Steele is preceded in death by his father John F. Lovell Jr., grandparents John F. Lovell Sr. and Lola Lovell, Harold and Vera Berry all of Benton. He is survived by his treasured mother Bobbye Lovell, his beloved son, Barrett Lovell (Amanda), his grandchildren, Emerson Lovell, Caden and Colton Talley and Ian Gill, sister Leslie Klanchar (Mike), and nephew John Michael, as well as a whole host of loving family. His Jeep pup, Dallas, will miss him dearly.
Steele is remembered for his quick wit, his loyalty, his boundless curiosity about the world around him, and that mischievous hint behind his eyes. A wandering soul, always ready for the next journey or discovery, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, lessons, and love.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life and share their memories on Sunday September 7th, at his favorite hangout spot, Riverside Grocery in Benton.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to honor Steele by exploring somewhere new, teaching a child something you love, or spending a quiet day outdoors-just as he would have done.

Grandpa John was a dear friend who hosted our class reunions, with Bobbye . They had a fantastic place to host it. He was very proud of his family, rightly so. A very respected lawyer liked by all.

Brother Berry & Vera was our pastor and wife for years. The Berry's also lived across the street from our home. They were dear friends and so was Bobbye. My sympathy to this wonderful fellow. I didn't know Steele, but I wish I had just reading about his life. John Lovell his grandpa, did all our legal work and he was a personal friend as well. God bless your family

Only met him briefly even though we were somewhat neighbors. He purchased a boat from me that he was currently working on. Seemed like a very solid guy. My condolences to the family

we were each others relief at work I'd come in and he'd go home to come back and let me go home. We always took the time to cut up with one another and talk smack. He was a good guy. After working together a little while we figured out that I knew him from 28 yrs ago when I worked with Barrett's mom doing Home Health and we hung out at their house and went swimming up the hill at his parents. Anyway....I'm so sorry for your loss and may God give you all the peace and comfort during this time. #RILandPeaceSteele
