Robert Reynolds Obituary

Robert James Reynolds Jr (RJ) a lifelong resident of Bennington VT, went fishing June 30, 2022, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, following a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded loved ones. RJ was born on March 7, 1953 at Putnam Memorial Hospital in Bennington VT, the son of the late, Robert Reynolds Sr, and June Stratton Reynolds. He attended Bennington schools, graduating from Mount Anthony High School. He most recently worked at Bennington College for over 30 years as a Master Electrician, from where he retired in 2018. RJ was a proud member of the Vermont National Guard for over 20 years. RJ was avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially teaching his grandchildren how to fish. He is survived by his two children, Brandy Reynolds of Manchester VT and Callum (Lynn) Reynolds of Benbrook TX; six grandchildren, Arianna, Pheobe, Sierra, Maeve, Jackson and Nathaniel; three great grandchildren, Elliot, Xander and Maximus; and a sister, Jacqueline Reynolds Towne of Guilderland NY. A Celebration of Life for RJ will be held Tuesday, July 12 at 1pm at Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main St, Bennington. Burial will follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Bennington. Visitation will be held at 12pm, one hour prior to the service.
