Sandra "Sandy" Richardson
March 13, 1953 - June 23, 2023
Freeburg, Illinois - Sandra "Sandy" Richardson, nee Valentine, 70, of Freeburg, IL, born March 13, 1953, in Belleville, IL, died Friday, June 23, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Sandy had the perseverance in her heart to deal with the challenges of multiple sclerosis. She was a wonderful mother, who loved getting her kids gifts, and spending time with them. Sandy loved horseback riding in her younger years, being outdoors, and was a huge dog lover.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn L. Valentine.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 51 years, Donald J. Richardson, whom she married on July 21, 1972; a son, Justin (Ashley) Richardson; a daughter, Sarah Richardson; two grandchildren, Riley and Colby Richardson; her mother, Barbara A., nee Koldehoff, Valentine; a brother, David Valentine; and a niece and nephew, Amanda and Drew Valentine.
Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.
Funeral: A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Freeburg, IL, with Fr. Von Deeke and Deacon Corby Valentine officiating.
