Denese Waldman Obituary

Denese Murphy Waldman, of Baltimore, passed away on February 24, 2022, at the age of 55. Originally from Greenwood, Indiana, Denese is survived by her loving husband, Scott Waldman; her brother, Patrick Murphy and wife, Kristen; her stepson, Josh Waldman and wife, Monica; grandson, Jack Waldman; and many nieces and nephews.

Denese was an outstanding athlete, having one of her high school records in track and field stand for over 30 years. In her adult life, she was an avid runner and included the Marine Corps and New York marathons as races she completed. She loved to play volleyball, softball and just about any other sport. For work, Denese was a fitness professional and worked with older adults in the Washington, DC, area. She graduated with Honors from Ball State University and received her Masters from American University.

De would light up a room with her infectious laugh and beautiful smile and touched all who knew her. She also loved to be around family, whether it was with her brother and his wife and children or Scott's immediate and very large extended family.

She fought a courageous battle against cancer (Cholangiocarcinoma) for over a year. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
