Jeanette Hines Obituary

Jeanette Margie Hines was born on April 4th,1946, to the late Johnny Nelson Hines, Sr. and Margie Cashmere. She was separated from her family when her mother passed. Later in life she was reconnected with her father's family through her first cousins, Linda Hines Lindsey, who became her caregiver, and Brenda Hines, who became her best friend. In her new family, she developed relationships with their children, Ife Lindsey Royal (Wardell), Lesley Christophe (Aaron), Takashima Robinson, Karomie Pigott and the late Niyi Lindsey. She especially had a grandmotherly love and relationship with Ife's children, Wardell Royal III (Kasi), Emmani Royal, Caleb Royal, Joshua Royal and Niyi Royal, who lovingly called her Tee-Tee Nette. Jeanette loved the Lord. She loved listening to gospel music, as well as older R&B music from the 60's and 70's. She found joy in coloring in her coloring books as well as writing her name, watching older tv shows (that she called her "stories"), and African movies. Not much is known about her 10 siblings. She leaves to mourn all of the previously mentioned relatives, an aunt, Betty Hines, and a host of cousins and loved ones. Her memory will live on through her close relatives and all those whose lives she touched. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 11:00AM - 1:00PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Apostle Shelly Planellas - Officiating.
