Only just found out that Hazel passed away. We were shocked and sad. My husband worked with Cubby and that´s how we got to know Hazel. Loved all our nights out and all the laughs. Great memories. Sleep well Hazel. Xx

Hazel was a key figure when I started at Moray House in 1980. Always there to greet and help those arriving at the then School of Community Studies. Frank, funny, genuine and undeniably a force for good. My world was certainly a better place for working with and knowing her. RIP

Hazel was one of the first people I met when I came to Moray House and I'm glad that was the case. She was down-to-earth, hilarious and welcoming. Knowing her was a real privilege.

Hazel was one of the first people I met at Moray House and was part of the fabric of the place. She was warm, friendly, always ready to help and support her friends and colleagues and would go out of her way to make you feel welcome. She was a real force of nature with an infectious laugh and loved life and lived it to the full! I have so many happy and hilarious memories of Hazel and she will be sorely missed! I am pretty sure she will be arranging a big party in the sky right now! Mike Lynch

One of a kind...never to be messed with but a loyal colleague and friend if she let you into her circle of trust. Loved a laugh and a party. RIP Hazel.

There are so many stories I could tell about Hazel and not all of them printable that's for sure. But she brought joy, laughter, and made me laugh for hours. Her office or should I say poster room for John Bon Jovi made me smile every morning. Hazel you are one of a kind, the best and my goodness you will be missed.

John (Hazel's boss) but we all know who the real boss was!

I remember sitting in the common room in Thomson's Land rocking with laughter at Hazel's stories. She had such comic timing. She was a good colleague. I remember her welcoming attitude when I first arrived at Moray House. And I loved bein her Facebook friend after she retired so I could keep in touch with her wonderful sense of fun and enjoyment of life. It's hard to believe she is gone.Mo Griffiths

Hazel was the best neighbour we could have asked for. Loved our chats putting the world to right over the fence & our shopping trips on a Friday Morning. We hit it lucky moving in next door to you & Cubby. Still keep going out the back garden, expect to see you pottering in the garden. Bella is also still looking for you. Taken far too soon. Rest in peace Hazel.
