DORMER, Michael Edmund:
Bowled by an in-swinger at 10.54pm on Monday, April 19, 2021. Mike loved and respected his wife Winsome, his son Peter and wife Emma with children Max, Ruby and Edgar; and his son Ben and wife Georgina. In lieu of flowers donations to the Christchurch Boys' High School Cricket Club would be appreciated, and may be made at the service. The Dormer family sincerely thank everyone at the Nurse Maude Palliative Care Hospice for their professional care of Mike. Our special thanks to Mary, Julie and Mo; their empathy, understanding and love extended to us all will remain in our hearts; thank you. We also thank Dr Jim Edwards and his team at Oncology, Christchurch Hospital. Mike's Funeral Service will be held in the Christchurch Boys' High School Hall, 71 Straven Road, Fendalton, Tomorrow (Wednesday), at 11.00am.

Mike is one of the most memorable men I have met in my life. He lived his life selflessly with an indomitable desire to help others, whether it be through the Willows or charities such as the Salvation Army. In St Paul's memorable words, he has run the race' with distinction. With grateful thanks from all his many friends at Wellington College. Lumen Accipe et Imperti!
