Peacefully, with her family at her side, on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Nurse Maude Hospital, Christchurch, aged 80 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Hamish, loved and loving mother of Peter, Glenn and Kathryn. Loved mother-in-law of Rod Cross. Special Nan Nan to Thomas, Polly, Oliver and Harvey. Loved sister of Judy Miller (Tauranga) and Jim Walker. In lieu of flowers donations to Nurse Maude Hospital would be appreciated and may be made online at

I am sorry to hear the loss of your Mum....
I really liked Mary she was a wonderful happy and caring lady always willing to listen.
I have some fond memories of her at Waimairi Road in our younger days always making sure we were feed and always interested in taking the time to talk.
I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your Mum.
Mary has certain left a void in the Russel clan.
