MERCER, Marshall David:
(Reg. No. 4211904, Flying Officer, RNZAF) On January 21, 2021, peacefully at Holly Lea Retirement Village, aged 97 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Marilyn for 68 years, much loved father and father-in-law of Anne Williams and Bruce Rhodes, Nicki and Hugh Cooke, Jackie and Mark Henley, much loved grandfather of Guy, Alexander, Rupert; Lydia and Rob, Henrietta, Fiona, Nicholas; Charles and Kylie, Charlotte, and Edward; great-grandfather of Bodhi; and Emily. Many thanks to the caring staff of Holly Lea Retirement Village. The Funeral Service for Marshall will be held in St Barnabas Anglican Church, 8 Tui Street, Fendalton, on Tuesday, February 2, at 2.00pm. Private cremation thereafter.

Very sorry to hear of Marshall's passing.
The last Mercer. In the mid forties Marshall flew over our farm at Waiau and dropped a gift, using a Handkerchief as a parachute. Made a lasting impression on this 5/6 YO. Brian and Derek Harrison
