Jack and my dad became lifelong friends many decades ago. I met Jack as a teenager and his impact on me was profound. I wanted to be just like him. Ruggedly handsome, incredibly talented, sharing, caring and strong - and dedicated to his family. Jack's time with us has passed but his legend will brightly live on. Sincere condolences to all the Wilkie clan, with love from David, my partner Jill and my mum Pat. Be strong at this difficult time, just like Jack.

Dear Jean and family, we were deeply saddened to hear of Jacks recent passing. He was a kind and thoughtful man with whom I spent many happy hours on the rivers and lakes of NZ chasing that elusive trout. A great mate to my late Father Nev, I am sure they have caught up for a beer and to reminisce. Love Neil & Kim Graham

Dear Auntie Jean and my dear cousins. So sad Uncle Jack has departed us but I had the pleasure of spending precious time with him when we attended the 65th wedding anniversary. I will remember how happy and how much he enjoyed seeing everyone there. Sorry I will not be there for his send off but my heart will be with all of you. Love you Auntie Jean xo From Glenys, Chontelle, Myriah and Zaylia.

This is very sad. Jack was such a lovely man and will be greatly missed. It was a privilege to have played beside him in the pipeband. My thought go to the family.

What a great privilege it has been to know Jack. Your kind smile and gentle ways, and your quiet loving support will always be cherished and held dear in my heart. You were a great friend, mate, buddy, confidante and bandsmen. You will be remembered fondly by many, but as for this soul, I am eternally grateful to have been able to call you my friend. Thanks for all the fun.
