Hi Lorne, I really only knew my cousin Dora best when she would come and stay in Waimate about 1960ish, with her Uncle John and Auntie Muriel, my Dad and Mum. I remember when Dora was helping us in the Honey extracting room one time and she was stung by a bee. She started to have a bad reaction, difficulty breathing, and I had to pick her up and rush her off to one of the local Doctors, for a shot of adrenalin!! She soon recovered but we all had a bit of a fright. Anyway she was always so much fun and enjoyed being part of the harvest. God Bless you Dora, see you in the future!

I will always remember Doras smile and her chortling laughter with Peter Chapple her brother. Thinking of you Lorne, Karl, Anna, Roberta, Troy at this time. Your love shines through.

Dear Lorne and family,
We feel for you all in the loss of your lovely wife, mother and grandmother and fondly remember her compassion, intelligence and creativity. Growing up as one of her cousins, I remember her as always attentive, thoughtful and caring. We grieve along with you the tragic loss of much enjoyment of life that accompanied the onset of her illness, and can only find comfort in the fact that you, her family, were always devoted, sympathetic and loved her throughout, right to the end; the embodiment of self-giving love and affection.
With love from John and Kay.
