Vernon Anthony Stokes was born August 18, 2001 to Nichelle B. Stokes and Vernon E. Burrows, III. He was baptized at a young age at New Macedonia Baptist Church by Bishop Percy McCray. He was well mannered and respectable young man. Vernon attended East Jefferson High School in Metairie and was working on his GED. He was employed by Buds Broiler. In 2020, Vernon became a first time father to Nyla Stokes and was on the verge of changing his life style to become a better person for his daughter. Vernon enjoyed playing the PlayStation and basketball. Vernon leaves to cherish his memory his parents Nichelle B. Stokes and Vernon E. Burrows III, daughter Nyla Stokes, maternal grandparents Carolyn and Rufus Parrot and Anthony B. Stokes, paternal grandparents Joyce Brown and Vernon E. Burrows Jr., and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins, and good friends.
