Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend left us on January 13th, 2022, following a ten-year battle with breast cancer. She was the matriarch of the Young family and will be forever missed. Her Halloween birthday was something she loved, and her loving home was filled with her delicious Italian foods, her love for her family, and her faith in God. She was born in Culver City, California, and grew up in Yucaipa and Long Beach. It was at St. Anthony’s High School she met the love of her life, Bob, and they would have celebrated their 60th anniversary on February 17th. They moved to Orange County in 1965, and they raised four children: Karen born 1964, Vicki born 1965, Lisa born 1969, and R.J. born 1978. They were parishioners of St. Polycarp Parish for many years, and all four children attended school there, where Terry held many volunteer positions.
Terry worked several office jobs over the years to help with Catholic school, but she eventually worked for the Westminster School District as an instructional aide for children with special needs. Always a loving and wonderful mother, she was a blessing to her students. She retired in 2011, and she and Bob continued to split their time between Garden Grove and Palm Desert, where they bought their dream home in 2006. In 2017, they retired to Idaho, but Terry missed her beloved California, and they went back as often as they possibly could, despite health issues.
Terry is survived by her husband, Bob; children Karen (Scott), Vicki (Rob), Lisa (Matt), and R.J. (Rachel); grandchildren Matthew (Heather), Bradley (Meckenzie), Andrea (Jacob), Jeanette (Corey), Trevor (Sophie), Tanner, Bethany, Nicholas, Mitchell, Grace, and Luke; great-grandchildren Katherine, Caroline, Jackson, and C.J., as well as her siblings, Bob’s siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many life-long friends.
A rosary will take place at All Souls Mortuary, Long Beach, on Thursday, February 10th with viewing from 5:30-6:30 and rosary at 6:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, Long Beach, on Friday, February 11th at 10:00 a.m. Internment will be at Riverside National Cemetery on Monday, February 14th at 1:45 p.m.
Terry was the most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, and her home was where we always wanted to be. She will be forever missed, but we are comforted knowing she is now home in the arms of Our Lord and His Blessed Mother.

Terry was a very sweet lady that I wish I could have seen more of. Even though distance kept us apart I think about my California cousins often. Hugs and prayers to the family. Love, your cousin Helen

My dear, dear friend we have shared so much of our lives together. We have laughed, cried and prayed. You were my confidante, my confessor, and someone to share my deepest secrets with and you will be so missed forever. Thank you for sharing your family and loved one with Ron and I. Ours lives were so full the time we had together with you and Bob. Enjoy your life with Jesus and His Mother and all the Angels and Saints❤

Terry, you were such a good friend for so many years. You were part of a group of six couples who did so much together. We saw each other at least once a month as we met for pinochle. We also prayed together meeting almost every week to pray the rosary. May you rest in peace. Love you
