Robert Levan, Jr Obituary

On Aug. 2, 2012 Bob passed away surrounded by his family, after a long battle with diabetes, into the arms of our Heavenly Father. He was 56 years old. Born in Youngstown, Ohio he was the only child of Robert Joseph Levan, Sr. and Patricia Ann Levan. They moved to Canoga Park, California in 1957. Bob grew up in a very close knit family with his cousins who shared a passion for fishing and hunting which he carried on through the years with his daughters. After attending Canoga Park High School he furthered his education graduating with a BS Degree in Accounting from Woodbury University. While attending Woodbury he was the President of his fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi and he met and married his college sweetheart, Debbie and was blessed with 2 daughters, Jennifer and Robin. They moved to Simi Valley in 1986.
Bob went into the family business where he became the Owner and President of BOLE INDUSTRIES, INC. for 35 years, which was an aerospace machine shop with his proudest moment of seeing his parts used on the Space Shuttle. All through his life he maintained a passion for sports- baseball, basketball and football. He spent many years on the softball fields coaching both his daughters.
Whatever Bob did and no matter how ill he was he always laughed often with his quick wit and telling jokes. He was a very likeable person and lived his life to fullest. Bob is survived by Debbie, his daughters Jennifer and Robin and his grandson Eric Louie.
A graveside service in celebration of Bob's life will be held on Friday August 10 at 11:00 am at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Simi Valley with a gathering immediately following at his daughter Jennifer's house.

Jennifer I have a picture of you and my son James, I think you both were about two years old. Its been a long time. Please call.

Dear Levan family,
I had lost touch with Bob, although we were pretty close for several years between elementary and high school. I learned of his passing while on a Canoga Park High website and recalled what a kind friend he'd been to me during those years. My deepest sympathies to the family.

Dear Jennifer and Robin, your Dad was my very good friend for over 20 years. We became friends when my wife and I open our baseball card shop in 1989, and remained friends since.
I was so sad when I finally figured out why I couldn't reach him by phone.
Bob was a great guy and a great friend. I also know that he was a great Dad. He will be missed!

Best wishes and condolences on your loss.
