Mary Jo Stahl Obituary

Mary Jo Stahl passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the age of 81. She was born on September 3, 1940, to the late Joseph and Mae Baumgartner in Covington, KY. Mary Jo was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Stahl; loving mother of Deborah (Thomas) Ruter, Victoria (Jeff) Seng, and Karen (Keith Grossenbacher) Stahl O’Hara; cherished grandmother of Ethan and Evan Ruter and Jacob, Lauren, and Noah Seng; treasured great-grandmother of Jamison and Lucas; devoted companion of Jamie, her Irish Setter; and dear aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Lee and Art Baumgartner. Mary Jo worked diligently as a secretary in the medical field for many years. She was an excellent seamstress, often designing clothes and even creating her daughter Debbie’s wedding dress. Mary Jo was an advocate for therapy dogs, and proudly trained the first registered therapy dog in Cincinnati, Ohio. She will be remembered for her deep love of dogs, and we trust that she was joyfully reunited with her companions who went before her at the rainbow bridge. Visitation will be held Monday, July 25 from 5pm-7pm at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 5527 Cheviot Rd. (45247). Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, July 26 at 10am at Corpus Christi Church, 2014 Springdale Rd. (45231). Memorial contributions in Mary Jo’s name are suggested to an animal rescue of donor’s choosing. www.mrfh.com

It’s been 2 long years, Mom. I miss you every day. I think about calling you at dinner time quite often.. lol. I know you are in Heaven with Jesus and the rest of the family, friends, & fur babies. I wish you were here to see your grandkids and great grandkids. You would love them all. You and Dad raised us right and I hope you are watching us from above and are proud of all of us. Love you❤. Until we meet again. xo

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us everyday.
Unseen, unheard,but always near.
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Hold onto your memories and let
them guide during this time of sadness.

I'm not good with computers. I cried and cried. A 48 year friendship. We started visiting with our therapy dogs together. This eventually led to Therapy Dogs International, then to nursing homes allowing residents to bring their own dog. We traveled to Louisville together for a dog show. I remember running our Charity booth at Northgate Mall's Charity fair. Our Therapy Dog decorated booth won 3rd prize at the Gaines regional.
I'd feel terrible missing the funeral, but We're still testing positive for Covid. Know we'll be there in Spirit, if we can't come in person. Accept our thoughts and prayers. I can't stop thinking of her and the stories of our adventures together.
Lovingly,
Ozzie and Rick Foreman
