Jack G. Beeman, Jr., age 70, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away peacefully in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.
Jack was born March 15, 1951, in Sherman, Texas. He was a 1969 graduate of Liberty Elyau High School and was a retired salesman. Jack was known for many things; he was a husband, a father, and a Marine. He was the best story teller, but the role he cherished the most was being “papaw”. His grandchildren were his world and brought him so much joy, especially during the last few months. There wasn’t a day that passed that he didn’t ask for them. He was the best “papaw” and he will forever be missed.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ruby Beeman, and his sister, Edie Dyer.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joanie Durham Beeman of Texarkana, Texas, one son, Scott Beeman (Becky), two daughters, Beth (Jacob Trumble), and Leslie (Eric Prewitt), and 8 grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Morgan, Ashton, Will, Jacob, Aiden, and Addie.
Memorial services with military honors will be at 4:00 P. M. Thursday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating.
Memorials may be made to Red River Federal Credit Union to an account for Emery Prewitt, Account number 886983

Very sorry for your loss. Haven't seen Jack since high school, but we (L-E) boys would always hang out at Wayne's on Lakedrive. He was great guy. We had alot of good times in school, good memories.
